It's the beginning of September in Toronto, which means it's film festival season! This year I am privileged to be working as a photographer with the CaribbeanTales Film Festival, one of the few festivals in the city daring to run parallel to TIFF - in fact, the one at the top of the Toronto Star's list here: https://www.thestar.com/entertainment/movies/2016/09/02/tiff-isnt-the-only-film-festival-in-town-this-month.html.
Tonight is the festival launch event and first screening at the Royal Cinema, where you will find me roaming around with a camera documenting the whole process, but for me it began yesterday, with a photoshoot featuring Frances-Ann Solomon, the wonderful woman who created CaribbeanTales, and the incredibly talented and beautiful women she works with to bring it all together.
It was an excellent shoot, and it looks set to be a fantastic festival. Hope I see you there!
